Device Reports

Device reports are based on information that relates to an entire PacketShaper, a group of PacketShapers, hosts recognized by your PacketShapers, network links in PacketShapers, operational exceptions, and network bandwidth requirement trends.

Report Type Description
Compression Summary Presents detailed information on compression savings from PacketShaper Xpress. Statistics include pre and post compressed bytes, non-compressible bytes, bytes saved, compression gains, as well as pre- and post-compressed traffic rates.
Device Summary Presents summary statistics for the selected group of PacketShapers and network links. The reports indicate link size, peak and average traffic throughput, link utilization, and network efficiency for the selected group of devices. Use Device Summary reports to gain quick insight into links with potential congestion problems and nearing full capacity, or to identify other high-level indicators of performance issues. Quickly drill into detailed derivative reports by clicking statistics.
Exceptions Provides a quick view of marginal and critical exceptions, based on configured performance profiles and service levels, across your network of PacketShapers. Utilize the Exceptions report to monitor high-level indicators and quickly isolate emerging issues.
Host Accounting Provides traffic accounting reports for servers or clients (hosts) as recognized by your PacketShapers
Trend Exceptions Trend reporting assesses historical utilization patterns to predict when network links will out of capacity
