Access Reports

Use Web Browser

Use a web browser to connect to the ReportCenter Report Server. Use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, version 7.0 or higher of Netscape, Mozilla 1.6 or higher, or FireFox 1.0 or higher. In the location bar of your web browser type in the DNS name or IP address of the ReportCenter Report Server.

ReportCenter presents a login prompt. You can use the default user name admin with the default password admin; you can also create additional user accounts and modify existing user accounts.

  

Home Page

The ReportCenter Home page presents a navigation bar along the top.

Reports Tab

Click the Reports tab  in the navigation bar. A new page appears, the Reports page.

This page includes a Report Selector bar used to request reports, a Quicklinks section, and a Favorite Reports section. Initially, no reports are listed in the Favorite Reports section.

Viewing Reports

Your selected report appears in your web browser window once you have selected all of the criteria required to define a report. When the report is presented, a group of icons appears to the right of the Report Selector Bar. These icons let you perform various actions with the current report.

Icon Usage
Adds the current selections in the Report Selector Bar to your list of Favorites, and displays the Favorites page
Navigates to the Quicklinks page, in effect the same as clicking the Reports tab in the black navigation bar
Opens another instance of the current report in a new web browser window
Converts the current report to a PDF file and displays it in your web browser
Prints the current report
Opens a dialog box in a new browser window so you can email the current report as HTML or PDF to one or more users; see below

Email This Report

While viewing a report you can click the envelope icon to send the report by email to one or more people. A new window appears that lets you specify email recipients, and whether to send the report as an HTML or PDF file.

By default your own ReportCenter user account is included. Select either the HTML or PDF radio button to choose a format for the email. You can add more email addresses in the Other Recipients field. As shown above, use a comma and a space between multiple recipient addresses. Type in the From name you wish to appear in the email message.
