Add PacketShapers

Before you can use ReportCenter you must add at least one PacketShaper to the list of devices polled by ReportCenter. You can use any of three available methods to add PacketShapers:

Import from PolicyCenter — If you are also using the network management program PolicyCenter to configure and manage your network of Packeteer devices you can import the list of devices directly from your PolicyCenter directory server.

Add Individually — You can add your PacketShapers one at a time using the add PacketShaper method. You'll need to know the unit serial number and the look password for each PacketShaper.

Auto Discovery — You can use ping and SNMP protocols to find PacketShapers within a range of IP addresses that you specify.

To add PacketShapers using any of these methods, use the ReportCenter Administrator Console program.
