Monitoring Tasks

Once PacketWise has discovered and classified your network traffic, you can monitor the traffic to determine how bandwidth is used. You can find out which applications are consuming the most bandwidth and what percent of the link various applications are using. PacketWise can quickly answer such questions as:

• What is the bandwidth usage and response time of each mission-critical application?
• What portion of the link is consumed by non-critical or unsanctioned traffic?
• Who are the top network users?
• What are the slowest clients and servers?
