Enable/Disable Traffic Shaping

When shaping is on, traffic is classified and measured, and policies and partitions actively control bandwidth allocation. When shaping is off, traffic is classified and measured, but it is not actively managed.

Note: To perform this task from PolicyCenter, you must first select a unit or draft configuration in the Configurations window. Then select the Setup tab from the right pane of this window, and proceed to step 2 of the procedure below.

To turn traffic shaping on or off:

1. Click the setup tab. The Basic Settings screen is automatically displayed in the Setup window.  show screen

2. In the Shaping field, select on to enable shaping or off to disable.

3. Click apply changes to update the settings.
