Run Guided Setup

After you install the PacketShaper into your network, you need to configure the PacketWise software. The PacketWise web browser interface provides a Guided Setup that prompts you for all required settings and provides information to help you make configuration decisions. You can also run Guided Setup from a command line with a remote login utility (such as Telnet) or through a console connection.

1. Access Guided Setup via a web browser, a remote login utility, or a console connection.
   
   
2. Select local mode.
   
   Note: Shared mode is used to configure multiple PacketShapers with the PolicyCenter software. See Configure a Unit for Shared Mode via Guided Setup.
   
   
3. Answer the questions as they are asked, using the information from the Pre-Installation Checklist for Local Mode.
   
   
4. When you are finished, commit your changes. Your configuration will be saved to your unit.
