View Unit Information
Click the Units tab to display the Units window. The Units window allows
you to monitor different types of information about the PacketShaper or iShaper units subscribed to PolicyCenter.
Monitor and Manage Individual PacketShapers and iShapers
The right window pane of this window has the following three tabs:
- Information: Identify at a glance the unit's asset inventory, including the model and serial numbers, license keys and software version, NIC management port settings, Directory Server information, and the organization that owns the unit.

Note: This tab will only display information on the unit's organization when you log in with PolicyCenter administrator access (touch access to the PC organization).
- Operations: Access this page to rename a unit, change its configuration, or assign it to a different directory server.
- Monitor: The Monitor page displays a unit summary, as well as information for the unit's current adaptive response status and settings.
View and Search the List of Subscribed Units
The Units tab can display two different tables of unit information, the Details View and the Table View. You can toggle between the two different views by clicking the Table View or Details View buttons in the lower left corner of this window.
The default Details View show screen displays a list of all PacketShapers and iShapers subscribed to PolicyCenter, each unit's assigned organization and its IP address. The Table View show screen displays a larger table with the following types of additional unit information:

| AR status |
The adaptive response status indicator for each unit displays the status color of the agent with the greatest problem. If all agents on a unit report a green (OK) status, the indicator on this page will appear green. If a unit has three agents reporting a green, yellow (Problem) and red (Warning) status, PolicyCenter will display a red status indicator for that unit. A gray box with the text No Status indicates that the adaptive response feature has not been configured or has been disabled, or that no agents are reporting values. |

Time since the unit last contacted the directory server |
| Errors |
The number of errors reported for the unit. This number is displayed as a link which, if clicked, will open a new window that will display additional details for any reported errors. |
| Banners |
The number of banner messages reported for the unit. This number is displayed as a link which, if clicked, will open a new window that will display details for any reported banner messages. |
| Max Bandwidth Key |
For PacketShapers running 7.5.x or 8.3.1 or later, this data column indicates the maximum bandwidth supported by the unit's current bandwidth license key and the unit’s Inbound and Outbound link size, for example, 100m (50M/50M). If the key has expired, the column will display the word Expired.
Note: For units running other versions of PacketWise, this data column will display an N/A only. |
| Shape Key |
For PacketShapers running 7.5.x or 8.3.1 or later, the first part of this data column shows whether or not the unit has a current shaping license key.
This column displays the words on (on) to indicate that the unit has a key and that the shaping feature has been enabled. If Shaping has been disabled, the column will display the words on (off). If the unit does not have a Shape key, it will display an N/A. If the key has expired, the column will display the word Expired.
Note: For units running other versions of PacketWise, this data column will display an N/A only. |
| Compress Key |
For PacketShapers running PacketWise 7.5.x or 8.3.1 or later, this data column shows whether or not the unit has a current compression license key. Possible values are on or N/A. If the key has expired, the column will display the word Expired.

| Accelerate Key |
For PacketShapers running PacketWise 7.5.x or 8.3.1 or later, this data column shows whether or not the unit has a current acceleration license key. Possible values are on or N/A. If the key has expired, the column will display the word Expired.
Note: For units running other versions of PacketWise, this data column will display an N/A only. |
If your list of units is very large, it may be difficult to locate a specific unit in the table. You can search for an individual unit entry in either the Details View or Table View by entering all or part of a unit's name, IP address, or organization in the Search field. show screen The configuration tree window will display any matching unit entries. Click the x button by the search field to clear the field and display the complete list of units once again.
Customize Table View Preferences
PolicyCenter's configurable Table View allows you to choose which types of data this table will display. Though the Unit Name and IP Address columns cannot be hidden, the other data columns can be disabled so they no longer appear on the table. To customize the Table View:
- Click the Units tab.
- If the Units tab does not already display the Table View, click the Table View button at the bottom of the left window pane.
- Click the Preferences button at the upper left corner of the table.

- The Unit Table Preferences window opens.
show screen Select or unselect any of the checkboxes to display or hide selected data columns.
- Click OK to save your changes.

Click Reset to Defaults to restore all data columns.
Click any of the Table View column headings to sort the information in the table by that column criteria. Make a column wider or narrower by clicking the border of a column heading and dragging the border to a new position. You may also customize the appearance of the Table View by clicking any of the column headings and dragging the column into a new location within the table.
Export Unit Table View Data to the Clipboard
To copy data from the Units table onto the clipboard in CSV (comma separated value) format, select the Table View for the units table, then click the Export CSV to Clipboard button at the top left corner of the table.

Exported data columns will be sorted in the same order in which they are displayed on the screen. Hidden data columns will not be exported.
