Configure Xpress in Enhanced ModeXpress works by identifying other PacketShaper units on the network, dynamically setting up a communication link, called a tunnel, between the units, and sending data through the tunnels. Tunnels can transport three types of data: compressed, packed, and accelerated. For details on the Xpress feature, see Xpress Overview. Note: If you are upgrading to PacketWise v8.x from v7.x, you will need to follow a special procedure for migrating to Xpress. Before using Xpress, you must configure the PacketShaper by following the steps below: 1. Check your PacketShaper memory to make sure you have enough RAM to run Xpress. 2. Install the Xpress compression and/or acceleration software key. (This step is necessary only if you didn't purchase PacketShaper with preinstalled keys.) 3. Define Xpress-IP addresses for each built-in and LEM device. 4. Configure global Xpress settings for enhanced tunnels. 6. Enable compression, packing, and/or acceleration. See also:
