Download Plug-Ins Using the PacketWise Browser InterfaceNote: Xpress plug-ins work only on Xpress-capable units, and should not be downloaded/installed on non-Xpress units. To download plug-in files: 1. Click the setup tab on the navigation bar. 2. From the Choose Setup Page list, select
plug-ins. The plug-ins screen is displayed. 3. Click fetch list to display a list of plug-ins on the Packeteer updates server. The Remote box lists the available plug-ins for your version of PacketWise software. 4. Click a file in the Remote list and look at the plug-in file description, name, and version at the bottom of the screen. 5. To select a file to download, click add. The plug-in file is listed in the Local list. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for any other plug-in files you want to download. 7. Click apply changes. A message appears at the bottom of the window, instructing you to go to the Plug-In Descriptions area of Packeteer's support website and view the readme file associated with the plug-in. The plug-in files are not activated until you reset. To reset the device: 1. From the Choose Setup Page list in the setup tab, select unit resets. 2. Click reset device. 3. Click OK to reset. After a moment, the login screen will appear. Note: If downloading didn't work (perhaps because the corporate LAN is private or because a security policy or firewall is in place), you can download the plug-ins from the Packeteer support website on a computer that is not subject to these restrictions.
