Delete a PolicyCenter Configuration

Deleting a PolicyCenter configuration removes that entire configuration and all of its child configurations from PolicyCenter. If you want to maintain the child configurations, move the child configurations to another parent before performing the delete operation. A configuration can not be deleted if it has any any active units assigned to it; be sure to reassign all units to another configuration before you attempt to delete it.

Note:If you clear the unit status entry for a unit that is temporarily turned off or disconnected from the network and then delete that unit's configuration, the unit will report errors when it is powered on or reconnected to the network. You can clear these errors by reassigning the unit to another existing PolicyCenter configuration.

To delete a configuration:

  1. Click the delete button on the upper toolbar. The PolicyCenter configurations options window will open.  show screen

  2. Click the Delete Configuration drop-down list and select the configuration you wish to remove.

  3. Click delete. The pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to delete the selected configuration.

  4. Click OK.
