Copy a Class

When you need to create a class that has similar specifications and matching rules as an existing class, you can copy a class. You can copy a class to a different subtree only; you cannot copy a class to the same parent.

Note: To perform this task from PolicyCenter, you must first select a group and/or unit configuration from the Group: and Unit: drop-down lists at the top of the page.

Note: If you are using the Easy Configure feature, you cannot copy classes.

To copy a class to a different subtree:

1. Click the manage tab.

2. In the left window pane, select the class you want to copy.

3. In the right window pane, click class and select copy from the drop-down list. The Copy Traffic Class screen appears.  show screen

4. In the To new parent drop-down list, select the destination parent class.

5. Click copy class to copy the class under the designated new parent.

To copy multiple classes at one time, see Copy Multiple Classes.
