Select a Different View
In the Top Ten window ( show screen),
you can view a variety of reports, such as a report of network efficiency
and a list of all the classes assigned to the Mission Critical category.
To select a different view in the Top Ten window:
1. Click the top ten tab on the navigation
bar.
2. Click the View drop-down list and select

Description |
Top Ten - Average Rate
|
The average bandwidth consumption of each Top Ten traffic
class in the designated time interval; measured in bits per second
(the default report type) |
| Top Ten - Peak Rate |
The peak bandwidth consumption of each Top Ten traffic
class in the designated time interval; measured in bits per second
|
| Top Ten - Total Bytes |
The total bandwidth consumed by each Top Ten traffic
class in the designated time interval; measured in bytes |
| Top Ten - Network Efficiency |
The percentage of flows that are not retransmits
in each Top Ten traffic class |
| Top Ten - Compression % Bytes Saved |
The classes with the highest percentage
of bytes saved, due to compression, in the designated time interval.
The Compression % Bytes Saved value is calculated by subtracting pre-compression
bytes (the size without any compression) and post-compression bytes
(the size after compressible bytes were compressed) and dividing this
difference by pre-compression bytes. |
| Top Ten - Compression Bytes Saved |
The classes in which compression offered the most bytes savings.
For each class, this view lists the number of bytes that didn't
have to traverse the link, because compression was used.
|
| All Classes |
All traffic classes that have been autodiscovered or
manually created; this view is useful when assigning categories to
classes |
The following views are available only when Easy Configure
is enabled:
| View |
Description |
| Easy Config Partitions |
Displays the Easy Configure partitions, in average-rate
order |
| Category - Mission Critical |
Displays all the traffic classes on the traffic tree
that have been assigned to the Mission Critical category; displays
each class' average rate in bits per second, and the percentage of
bandwidth that each class is using of the Mission Critical category's
partition |
| Category - Average |
Displays all the traffic classes on the traffic tree
that have been assigned to the Average category; displays each class'
average rate in bits per second, and the percentage of bandwidth that
each class is using of the Average category's partition |
| Category - Low Priority |
Displays all the traffic classes on the traffic tree
that have been assigned to the Low Priority category; displays each
class' average rate in bits per second, and the percentage of bandwidth
that each class is using of the Low Priority category's partition |
| Category - Prohibited |
Displays all the traffic classes on the traffic tree
that have been assigned to the Prohibited category; displays each
class' average rate in bits per second, and the percentage of bandwidth
that each class is using of the Prohibited category's partition |
| Category - Auto Discovered |
Displays all the traffic classes on the traffic tree
that have been not yet been categorized; displays each class' average
rate in bits per second, and the percentage of bandwidth that each
class is using of the Auto Discovered category's partition |

it if necessary. See Select the Time

Getting More Details About Top Ten Classes
The Top Ten reports include a few ways to drill down and get more information
about each class.
- Next to each class name is a graph icon
.
When you click this icon, a report containing two or three graphs pertaining
to the class appears in its own window. For example, if you are viewing
the Top Ten - Network Efficiency report and click the graph icon next
to the HTTP class, a Class Details report appears with an Average and
Peak Rates graph and a Network Efficiency graph of the HTTP class.
- Each class name is a hyperlink. When you click the class name, the
Traffic Class page for that class appears so that you can check
settings or make modifications.
