Publish Configurations

The publishing process distributes a local configuration as the new group configuration. When PacketWise publishes a configuration, it issues a command to each of the other group members, which causes them to synchronize with the new configuration immediately, rather than waiting for the next polling interval to read the update.

To publish a configuration:

1. Click setup on the navigation bar.

2. From the Choose Setup Page list, select group view. The Group View window appears.

3. Click publish to distribute a configuration to the group. A confirmation window is displayed to verify that you want to publish to the group.

or

Click publish force to synchronize units that have been locally configured. Choose this option when you want to overwrite local configurations with the group configuration.

To publish a configuration from the command line, use the group publish command.
