Turn on Easy Configure

Note: Easy Configure is not available on the PacketShaper ISP.

When Easy Configure is enabled, you assign your applications and services to categories (such as Mission Critical or Prohibited), and then Easy Configure automatically creates appropriate partitions and policies. For more information, see Easy Configure Overview.

To turn on Easy Configure:

1. Click the setup tab. The Basic Settings screen is automatically displayed in the Setup window.  show screen

2. In the Easy Configure field, select on.

3. Click apply changes to update the settings.

Easy Configure will then create the Easy Configure partitions and move any existing classes into the AutoDiscovered folder. You can then move classes out of the AutoDiscovered folder and into the appropriate folders by categorizing your classes. See Assign Categories to Classes.
