Add and Categorize ClassesIn the Easy Configure - Add Classes screen, you can categorize services as you create classes for them. This is useful if you don't want to wait for PacketWise to auto-discover traffic before controlling a certain type of traffic. For example, you can create a Gnutella class and assign it to the Low Priority category so that your network won't be overloaded with music file downloads. To create a new class and assign it to a category: 1. Click the top ten tab. 2. Click add classes. The Easy Configure
- Add Classes screen appears. 3. In the Service list, select the service you want to add. 4. In the Category list, select the desired category: Note: For a list of traffic class recommendations for each Easy Configure category, see Category Examples.
5. Click add. The class is added to the Pending Classes list. 6. Repeat steps 3-5 for any other classes you want to create. 7. When finished, click apply to create the classes. See also: Remove Classes from the Pending Classes List |
